# Fair Squares

> Fair Squares is a decentralized affordable-housing protocol. It pools capital from social investors into a community Housing Fund, finances homes at cost-optimized prices, and rents them out roughly 20% below market rent while paying investors a capped, sustainable return (~3%). Ownership and governance are recorded on-chain: assets are tokenized, decisions are made by a DAO of stakeholders, and all economics are transparent and auditable.
